The latest export statistic indicated that Malaysia export is not growing compare to last year. Wheres the other Asian Countries (South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, China ) has shown strong growth for the same period.
Our export will be very ugly if we exclude the Petrol & Palm Oil export.
ICAP say we are losing in competitiveness.
The outlook for Malaysia Economy is not optimistic anymore!
THEN what company we should invest in Malaysia ?
I will focus on those Company that have substantial oversea business, and proven tract record.
AND avoid those Company than only focus on Local Market.

This had been highlighted a few times in ICAP.
Why bother about Proton when we can invest in Porsche? Why bother about MPI when we can invest in TSMC?
I think many many years ago, our Malaysian tycoon had started doing their business overseas. I guess they had know that Malaysia is such a small market, and without liberal policy, the growth for Malaysia will be limited. It would be just a matter of time when these companies overseas earnings will be bigger than the local earnings.
Besides petrol and palm oil, I think one of the biggest export of Malaysia is human brain. With so much push factor from Malaysia, and so much pull factor from overseas, it is not surprising that we see Malaysian serving other countries.
Malaysia boh lat! Sigh!!
